My younger sister's bachelorette party is this weekend. Can't believe it's happening already!
Wasn't she just 8 years old belting out Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" song? It was cute, she tended to just get louder as the notes got higher. We all usually got good giggles and laughs from it. In fact, my mom would purposely put on that song, crank it up and just wait for her to start singing it. Then tears would start streaming down my mom's face as she was laughing so hard.
All this planning which I find rather enjoyable got me thinking to my own bachelorette party and how much fun I had. I wanted something very low key b/c it was about a year after we all graduated college and we hadn't seen much of each other. I wanted a night where we could just all hang out and catch up.
My lovely sister's planned it perfectly. We went to Badlands snow park in Hudson, WI. Which I highly recommend going to. So extremely fun. But beware you may end up with bruises the size of melons right on your cute little rear. But, it's a bruise with a story and that makes it worth it.
Then we all just went back to a hotel, ate there, and hung out.
I loved it so much that I'm thinking that married women should have parties like this. I'd love to be able to get all those fun gifts again, play somewhat inappropriate games, and have "back of the bus" talks or "lockerroom talks" all night long. Maybe we can have a random night in the summer where you have a "bachelorette" party for married women, singles allowed obviously. We don't like to discriminate. Then play funny games, decorate in a classy but bachelorette way, and do a lingerie gift exchange.
I might have to plan this.
