And when we giggle we see her scrunched up little nose and all 7 extra teeth that popped through this month alone. We now have all eye teeth and 3 first year molars. All these teeth have caused her to be a little bit more cranky and clingy than normal. But she's still a really good baby. Only once in a while did I want to run away and lock the doors behind me.
But her silly, fun, snuggly, and learning moments all make up for it. We learned lots of new animal sounds. We now know what a cow, lion, duck, sheep, and horse say. We can't figure out dog yet but we love dogs and say puppy ALL the time. We've also learned the words "help" and "up" which help mom understand her a lot better. We even say please but it sounds more like "me-ah" and we only say it when prompted.
We also say ball and baby a lot. She is in love with her baby doll and checking out mom's belly and say baby. We even give baby lots of kisses. She however is quite confused b/c we check out to see if anyone and everyone has a baby in their belly.
And whenever we need to preoccupy her, we quiz her on her body parts. She knows her head, hands, toes, ears, mouth, eyes, nose and tongue are. We get a little nervous to ask where her eyes are b/c she about pokes them out each time.
She's catching onto her routine too. When I ask her if she wants to go outside, she crawls to go get her play shoes and special play pants that we wear. When told it's bath time she now takes her bath toys out of the cabinet and throws them into the tub. If she wants to eat, she crawls to her chair. If we want a snack, we say cracker which might be her most used word beside momma and daddy. And we know that as soon as we get in the car Mom probably has crackers for the road trip and she begs and begs until I give them to her. Even if the road trip is a mile away to Target.
And when we go to Target or even anywhere outside we say "Hi" to everyone and wave. Sometimes she says hi to people who are out of ear shot. She could car less if you acknowledge her...she just likes doing this. And I've found that mostly only the check-out people or the older individuals acknowledge her and say hi back.
I could keep writing about her and I enjoy as I see these blog posts as her little journal. It's fun to look back especially now since her baby book ended at 1 year old. But the most fun is the photos.
