We so impatiently and happily welcomed Hudson Peter into this world Friday evening.
We found out the Friday before that we had the option to be induced Friday, Nov 29th. I gladly said, "YES!" One because I was so ready to meet this sweet pea and two I was so ready to be done being pregnant! A lot of it also being how well it worked out with Rylee being watched by family, Steve's work and school schedule, the non-chaotic-ness of coming into the hospital, the epidural as soon as the pain came... you know... that kind of stuff.
The day started out slow but quickly turned up a couple notches late afternoon. In fact, it happened so fast that they were worried the Dr. wouldn't make it in time. But she did and after about 3 sets of pushes, Hudson Peter so lovingly came to bless the three of us.
Big sister Rylee was so in love with Hudson right away. In fact, she became a little territorial and pushed others away when they came in to see Hudson. We are working on not giving Hudson high fives but she does a pretty good job of gentle touches and kisses. Laura came today to take photos of the two and the family. So I can't wait to see what she captures. Hopefully just the sweet moments :)
