Operation Baby Room: The Chair

I've heard from a lot of recent and experienced Mom's that you want to find a great, amazing, super comfortable, one you could sleep in, practically live in, rocking chair. So my parents and I went on a hunt for one this last Sunday.

We went to Dock 86 which is a pretty cool place, HOM Furniture, Schneiderman Furniture, Ashley Furniture, Slumberland, and Babies R Us. You might be thinking... oh man long day. Not with me people. I shop fast. I enter, I scan, I browse, I seek, I decide, and I'm out.

Quick and painless.

We went so fast that Dad didn't even have time to grab a cookie and coffee and enjoy his time. On the run Dad... we're movin'.

Well, we found a ton of gliders or rocking chairs that day; however, we only found a few that I actually liked. And even less that would work in the room. And actually even very few that fit my price range. Those suckers are expensive.

Oh but Miss Ashley's Sale section came through for us. Just the right feel, color, size... perfect! And the whole chair with ottoman was less expensive then our second choices just ottoman. Gotta a love a good deal.

And gotta love this chair. Steve and I both thoroughly enjoyed it last night after setting it up. I got so into putting the chair together in the room that I forgot about the almond bark I was melting in the microwave for a snack. Well, we started noticing when we smelled the burning and saw smoke rising and oozing from the microwave, oops. I might have been on the verge of burning our house down. But at least we would have had a comfortable chair to watch it burn. Is that sad that I just said that?

So you'll find me every once-in-awhile just standing in the doorway gazing at the room that is finally shaping up for Baby D. You'll also find me staring in our closet looking at all the cute clothes we've gotten already.

Then I start to freak out b/c Steve and I will be responsible for something that small! I mean... I almost just burned down our house.

I have a feeling I'll be more careful with her though :)
