Favorite Things Party

Our monthly Happy Hour with a bunch of wonderful college friends celebrated a lovely Christmas last Thursday.  This year the ever-so-lovely-and-cutest-pregnant-girl-ever threw us a curve ball and directed us away for the wine glass exchange to a Favorite things party.

We were instructed to buy three of our favorite items that equaled a certain amount.  This was quite the dilemma for me.  I have so many favorite things!  Do I go with my favorite book, movie, chapstick, blanket, decor item, photo, season, car, pillow, shoe, lotion, body wash, game, activity... I was out of my mind spinning with ideas.  But I settle on Favorite way to start of Christmas, Favorite way to organize, and Favorite earrings.  Mostly these three items b/c, well, season, sport, activity, and pillow didn't seem to cut it.

What were they might you ask?

Favorite way to start of Christmas:
The movie ELF!  it might even be my favorite movie of all time.  Ever!  I could even watch it on the fourth of July.

Favorite way to organize:
Trunk box  - you can get super cute ones at Gordmans.

Favorite earrings:
Nothing more classic than a pair of pearl earrings.  I get mine from Mei Pan.  They are real and only $5.  You'll have to read why and how on her website.

Turns out my favorites were a hit!  Well at least they lead me to believe that.  I'm sure they just put on the polite smile of "oh this is so cool but yeah I really don't want it"

Here were some of the other Favorites.

  • Smart wool socks
  • Eucalyptus spearmint massage oil
  • Winter candle (Bath and Body works)
  • Satin taupe frost MAC eye shadow
  • Big sexy hair mousse
  • Norwex face cloth
  • White Lambrusco wine
  • Scarves
  • gift cards to Jimmy Johns, Yogart Lab, Panera, Caribou and I think that's it.
  • picture frames
  • perfume (Victoria's secret)
  • Origins eye cream
And here are my lovely friends.

And the Flailing arms which seems to be a tradition.

Rylee thought it was ridiculous.

She wasn't havin' it.

She also wasn't havin' the flirting business Cannon was starting.  She wanted none of his moves.  She just wanted you to focus on her big belly, double chins, and reindeer feet.
