9 Months

Rylee just turned 9 months old.  Sad thing is I totally missed the date... it's not 1 year so it really doesn't matter.  Plus I'm taking care of a friend's two kids while she is away.  Well only three days I am and I managed to live through one of the days.  They are wonderful little girls ages 4 and almost 2 but man it is a lot of work taking care of three kids!  I was exhausted... beyond exhausted.  I actually called my older sister up and gave her mad props for mothering her 3 kids all under 5.  I thought about having another.... but my mind has changed.

I'll be waiting just a tish bit longer.
Just so I can enjoy this beautiful little girl.

She has been quite busy learning new things.  She's almost crawling but her big ol' belly gets in the way.  She's like our little basset hound.

Plus look at this booty!

But we found a new toy that we love.

and this toy...

But I do think her favorite past time is eating.

And we are getting closer at mastering the sippy cup.  But mostly we use it as a chew toy for the 8 teeth that we have.

And our dentist would be proud, we've starting brushing.  Actually she just sucks on it and drools.  And in fact our dentist wouldn't be proud.  We have some yellow stains on the front teeth.  We've heard that is either from having a fever when she cut these teeth or from the fact that we give her a bottle right before bed and the formula has stained it.  We aren't too worried though :)

Rylee has also taken on the traits of her mother.  Whenever a show that she likes is on, in her case Baby Einstein, her eyes become fixated and glued and nothing else in the world matters.

She's also out of her baby tub and into the real tub.  Today in fact she got real daring and slid into home on her tummy.  She realized that wasn't a great idea after drinking half the water.

  • She's also chatting up a storm usually saying dadda or bwa-bwa-bwa... sometimes I think I hear a mom but I'm only kidding myself.
  • She loves mirrors and is starting to make faces when she looks at herself in them.
  • She loves my earrings and I about lose an ear each day along with my hair.
  • She's still scooting backwards and gets mad.
  • Sometimes she thinks her babies can't breathe so she gives them mouth to mouth... that or she's attempting to kiss.
  • She claps non-stop.
  • Smiles and kicks like crazy whenever her daddy comes home.
  • She had her first sleep over at Auntie Abby and Uncle Ryan's place.  I'm just glad she survived.  :)
  • She's wearing 18 month clothing and her feet don't fit into size 3 anymore but are too small for 4s.  I don't get that.
  • We can fit tiny pieces of hair into a barrette.
  • Eats everything in sight
  • And I'm pretty sure I saw her on the US Olympic Volleyball team's scouting report.

Happy 9 months my beauty. You accomplish so much every day.
