Safe Haven

Rylee and I had a rough morning yesterday.  She decided to be clingy.  The type of clingy where she follows you around like a puppy dog and just pulls on your leg.  Then she wines and you pick her up and then she motions and flops to be put back down.  And then she wines.

It was really fun.

So I found myself moving about the house, leading her in circles as she follows me crawling. I dodge her and go in a different direction, a room I had no task to conquer, only to be cornered with no way out with the droopy puppy dog eyes staring at you with her arms up in the air just begging to be held.

Then I'd feel bad.

Realize I was a bad mom.

I'd pick her up.

She'd start to wine.

Ahhh.. child.

So we both sought comfort.  We hopped in the car. Drove 20 miles. Parked. Walked into the MOA.  Grabbed a cup of Caribou and walked around to people watch.  Then you realize the only people you are watching are Moms there for Toddler Tuesday and gray haired mall walkers.

But it's our safe haven on a crummy day outside and we love it.

Thank you MOA for being so gigantic.
