Father's Day

Yesterday along with hopefully everyone else we celebrated Father's Day.  The week before we headed to my parents so we were blessed with the presence of Steve's parents this Sunday.

I asked Steve what he wanted to eat for Father's Day.  He got to choose from anything and everything.  The options were wide open... no limitations.  I was at his mercy.  And he choose Brats.

That's it.

Brats.

That and he jokingly asked for brownies and cupcakes.  I think secretly he wasn't joking but he said he was. So I made them anyways.  And thank goodness I did because he at half the pan already in two days!

And Steve's dad is super easy to please as well.  He just wanted White Castle.  So he got it.  On the way home from church, I drove down the road, ordered his favorite meal, behind a guy who ordered 30 burgers which I think was insane but find out to be somewhat normal which I still don't get and then head home to make the two simple Dus men in my life happy.

It was a beautiful day to hang out side too.  We ate... chatted... planned for the summer... Iris (steve's mom) and I enjoyed coffee while Steve ran around playing basketball, Rylee entertained, and we just enjoyed each other's company.  It was one of the best days of the summer so far and for no particular reason at all.  It just was.

Then after Rick and Iris left, we headed off for a bike ride.. and wouldn't you know.  The 10 minutes we were away from home it decided to absolutely down pour on us!  But Rylee was giggling as she was protected in her Burly and Steve and I were getting pelted with wind and rain.  But we made it safely home after my legs fell off from peddling so hard and right as the rain began to clear up.

Happy Father's Day Steven.  The three of us love you dearly.  You bring us so much joy and happiness.  And you truly make our life so much more interesting and fun :)
