One big change is through Rylee. What a joy she has become. Her little personality is shining through. Even in her stubborn, I'm not listening to you times. Or I want exactly what you want. Or picking up on routine items and sounds.
For example, with any ding of the coffee maker or item in the kitchen she points and yells out "Coffeeeeee!" Or any round object we see whether on the computer screen, TV, or real life yells, "Ball Ball" which comes from daddy teaching her the word Volleyball. And volleyball isn't her only sport love, we say hockey a lot. And grab the hockey stick... however we don't really do anything with the hockey stick besides walk around with it.
She also is wanting everything I have... we put on makeup if mom is putting on makeup. Whatever mom has to eat, Rylee has to have. Even if she has the exact same thing on her plate - we need mom's. Yesterday I took our hydrangea bushes, cut them down, and put them in a pot.... well I had to go get her sand bucket for her to put an arrangement together too.
Routines are very much apart of our life now as well. Every time we get up from sleeping, morning or nap, she needs her babies and blankets to sit on the couch with her for a while and watch 15 minutes of TV... and then we have to have a snack. She makes sure I remember this too.
I could go on and on about all her little quirks but basically I can sum our life up into three words... Babies, books, cars. That's all we want to do and play with. She could be content all day if that is what we did. And sometimes we do.
Happy 17 months to our persistent sweet little girl.
