This dress is for my sister's wedding.
It doesn't fit.
Not even close!
I jumped off a 5 story building back in September and was able to squeeze myself into it. But not so much anymore.
Here was my problem. Back in July we went bridesmaid dress shopping. That was the month Steve and I decided to first start trying to have a baby. I thought well... maybe I'll be pregnant by February (the wedding date) so I'll just go up a size in my measurements. Plus it's an A-line dress so it's more my rib cage that needs to fit well. I'll have plenty of room for a tiny little belly.
Plus come on... it will take us a while and at the most I'll only be a couple months along.
WRONG!
I'm going to be 6! and it turns out your rib cage really does grow. Actually mine grew about 4 inches... or at least that was the space between the two zippers. I'm actually going to say that I stayed the same size and my dress shrunk. That sounds better. Or at least makes me feel better.
But luckily I know a really good seamstress. She's amazing. And I'm double lucky that my sister has some really short bridesmaids. I have their extra length on their dress to add to my sides.
It looks like we'll be in the clear. And the dress looks super cute! Can't wait to show you pictures in a month.
Oh and I was really excited to have an excuse to go shoe shopping. I had a pair of shoes planned out but my feet grew a little. Still not swollen... thank you God, but they did grow. Plus, I need some lower heals.
Usually I have a hard time finding cute, colored, lower healed shoes that are super comfy. But DSW came through for me.
Aren't they darling! And the best part is that I bet I can wear them all night. Unless my feet really are swollen by then :)
