On one of my previous posts, Top 5 Of 2011, I talked about skydiving. Then I had a friend ask me a little bit about it this past weekend. So I went back in my old photos and reminisced.
This day was truly a thrill. We had planned on doing it for Steve's birthday the weekend before but we got rained out. So we rescheduled for the following. Well there was another 2 hour rain delay but we decided to stick it out and enjoy the wonderful city of Baldwin, WI.
We enjoyed us a coffee at the cute local shop and just hung out. Then it was time to go back. The sky was beautiful. Another storm was on its way but we had a clearing for at least a few hours. The coming storm actually provided for some really awesome photos.
So after 2 hours, Steve and I suited up and jumped on the plane. Steve was a little nervous and all jacked up. He was pretty animated.
He even bonked me in the head on step up to the plane.Pose for a quick last shot! This may be our last. Side note: Steve's mom is a little bit of a worry wart. But a caring one. But we were mean. I called her on our way to jumping, told her that if we don't live that she gets our student loans, mortgage, and any other payment. Then we hung up.
She didn't like me for a while. Then it was my turn to jump. The lady that went with us was awesome. She was fulfilling one of her bucket list tasks. I just love this photo because you can see how the cameraman shot everything.Steve's turn... He said he was freaking out a little. This is his oh man why am I doing this?!!!! But here... we... Go!!!! I love how little the plane looks in this photo.
Now for the really good facial expressions. :)
Okay man... get ready, the shoot is about to open and put some major pressure on an area.
You ready?
Yeah I am!
Oh man... give me a second.
Okay I'm alright.
Coming in for the landing.
ahhh.... my feet touched ground. I survived.
Where's my wife? She okay? (literally said that)
Yep!
So unbelievably awesome.
Highly recommend to this experience to every one of you. And make sure to pay extra for the video and photos. Well worth it. Especially when you have someone as animated as Steve.
So glad you did your blog on this! :) I can't wait till I go this summer!
ReplyDeleteYou should go late enough in the summer. I may just have to go again :)
