Being 18 months... yes now 18 months... is a hard age to go trick or treating. There really isn't a whole lot of excitement that goes into it but you need to do it for memories sake. So we spent $0 and put a Halloween costume together for Rylee... A hockey player.
See how excited she was!
I thought the night was going to be a total bust after the fight to put on the costume.... but turns out it wasn't! She slowly started to warm up to the idea once we gave her cheerios and gave her a hockey stick and helmet like daddy.
So we headed off to Zoo Boo at Como Zoo to meet up with some friends.
Zoo boo was a lot of fun and I hope to make it a tradition! They gave out a lot of fun items, food, snacks other than just candy.
Plus we haven't had a lot of family time together so it was extra special.
Rylee was a little apprehensive at first and really didn't want anything to do with the full mask people. Luckily there were no tears but when she saw them she stood cold in her tracks... wouldn't budge... or blink. I could barely drag her past them. :)
But we warmed up to the idea of costumes once she started figuring out they were giving her free food and candy. She even started holding out her bucket for them to drop the goodies into.
Plus it never hurts to have some good looking security right there.
Rylee must have had a lot of fun though b/c she wouldn't let go of her pumpkin full of treats. Even when we were half sleeping and I tried to sneak some candy, she held a firm grip.
Now for another night tomorrow night!
