Love Me Some Maternity Photos

On Sunday Steve and I took maternity photos with my friend Laura (Laura Kleffman Photography.) It worked out perfect because she was back in her hometown of Le Crescent and we were in Onalaska for the baby shower so she came up with a brilliant idea of taking photos on the bluffs at sunrise. I loved this idea... until I realized it was daylight savings.

And until I slept at most 4 hours the two nights before.

And until I could barely role out of bed at 5:30 (new time) to try and beautify myself.

But it was all worth it. She took some gorgeous photos even with the cold air and crazy wind. I told her it was my natural fan whisping my hair around. I felt like a true model but with hips, bigger boobs and a belly. Basically with a figure.
Then she wanted to do some more fun ones. Well we found a cigar and empty beer bottle but I was afraid I'd end up in this post like a posted a few weeks ago. Watermelon/gun or cigar/beer bottle. I still think the watermelon/gun is way more weird.

So I did a headstand instead. And I'm not going to lie and deceive you.... Steve helped me into the pose and I held it for only maybe 3 seconds. I have no ab strength people. I can't do what I once used to do. Like bend over with out putting forth some effort while taking a deep breath before I plunge b/c the likelihood of me bending over and breathing at the same time is slim.

We also didn't want to leave out Steve. He's been feeling a little left out lately. Next time you see us, ask him how he's feeling before you ask Baby and I. So Laura let him pose once.

What a handsome man.
We've taken a lot of photos over the last year mainly b/c Laura is a really great friend but also b/c I did her website and we did a trade. But these photos might be my favorite that she has done. It could be b/c of the sunrise on a bluff or the fact that this one had the most meaning... or just because she gets better and better every time. Whatever it is, we are so grateful to have so many great photos. So many worth framing.

But these are two are my favorites of all time.
Thanks Laura. You're amazing.
