Miss Piggy

Steve was out of town last week at a conference so Rylee and I headed to Iowa to visit my sister.

And if you are thinking that you missed the prime opportunity to come rob us, there is no prime time.  Unless you want a small little TV, a safe full of $10, and a computer that is on its way out.  However, you would have scored on hand me down furniture, cheap decorations and second hand baby clothing.

I don't make it to my sister's often b/c we usually meet at my parent's home.  So when I do go down it's fun to take it all in.  The all in means, the hog farmers life of rural Iowa.  I'd like to say I could move there in a heart beat.  And I think I could.  But I probably won't.  My city slicker husband needs his hockey.

My goal however, is to go down often enough so Rylee can experience the farmer's life.  Mason gave her a good taste of it when we went to go visit the nursery with 5 week old pigs. So I put on our grungies, plugged my nose and headed on in.  Rylee was a little apprehensive at first.  She majorly showed her girly side by throwing her hands up like eww.... but finally settled on in and started reaching for the pigs.

My favorite part was watching Mason, who is 5, turn all macho
and chase after the pigs and bring them to Rylee.
He was pretty proud to show the baby pigs to Rylee and I.

Then we immediately went home, threw every article of clothing into the laundry and took a bath.

I might have to blow up this photo.
