A lot has happened obviously since our computer decided to
crash and burn. Like Rylee turning one!
If I can jog my memory to way back then, we had a birthday
party with Rylee’s church friends and a few other ones of Mom and Dad's. Rylee
is the youngest of this adorable group of 7 so it’s fun to see her watch
and learn from them. The oldest just turned 5 but most are around the 18 months
to 2 years old age. I wish we could have
gotten a photo that day but this is one from last summer.
It’s amazing how she’s grown so fast in one year. She's now become a little person with tons of personality. She knows how to make you laugh and get your attention. And if she wants your attention... she's going to get it :) So she was pretty happy on her birthday with all the attention on her. Especially during the cupcake mess.
Unfortunatly Steve and I didn't think about how we were going to light her one simple candle. So we resorted to the blow torch. Just bringing a little Tim Allen into her party.
She was pretty apprehensive at first but finally she started to dig and love the frosting.
She loved it so much we just thought it would be easier to hose her down then take the hour to clean her up.
Then we went on to the presents. We did okay at opening but mostly she crawled around and I opened them up. I don't mind. I love opening presents!
We had two other birthday parties for Rylee. One at Grandma and Grandpa Freiborgs and another and Papa and Gma Dus's. She probably thought the parties would never stop! But she's appreciative of all the new fun toys she is now playing with and Mom and Dad are certainly enjoying the noisy ones. The funny thing is most of the really noisy ones came from individuals who have yet to have kids. I think I know what type of toy I'll be buying for their children's parties :)
Thanks Sarah and Laura for all the photos!
